Face characters are defined as named characters within Lucas Film/Disney/Marvel/Dark Horse/etc. properties whether they are current canon or not. If an applicant wants to submit a face character costume that is approved in another Star Wars costuming club in which they are currently active they can submit a request for Previous Approval Exemption (PAE) so long as it was approved in the last 3 years. The process uses the following steps:
The Local Costume Consular (LCC) will submit a costume submission to the forums with a link to the Costume Resource Library (CRL) or Costume Rules/Template in the LFL Costume Club that the costume is approved in. The Temple may request a PAE or request the applicant go through the standard application process.
Under notes the LCC needs to list which LFL Costume Club the costume is approved and that they are requesting a PAE.
The LCC will provide a link to an official website (Such as Base/Garrison page) or a copy of the approval email that was sent to the member. Other forms of proving official approval may be considered on a case by case basis.
The applicant must provide a new front, back, and both sides pictures for the costume. They should also submit any photos they have of the previous costume submission, if any.
For applicants with no Local Costume Consular or Temple they should speak to the Global Membership Director (GMD) who is also the acting LCC for Wayseeker Temple.
Once the application has been submitted with these conditions met, the Global Costume Director (GCD) will work with the Global Membership Director (GMD) to confirm it is the same costume and that it is approved in the organization listed within the last three years. A Global Costuming Consular (GCC) can be assigned by the GCD to act in their stead. A Global Costuming Consular (GCC) can be assigned by the GCD to act in their stead.
If there is disagreement between the GCD (or their delegate) and GMD Lead GCC, then the Assistant Global Director will serve as the tie breaking vote. If it is determined it is the same costume the GCD will then grant approval of the costume. If it is determined that it is not the same costume, then the costume will have to go through the standard Saber Guild costume approval process.
For all members for whom this is their first costume with Saber Guild, they will be awarded a Saber Guild number and given the rights/responsibilities of a full member.
